Had a quick trip to Virginia two days of driving one day there. Saw Thomas Jefferson's home, Monticello, and the Petersburg battle fields. Seeing a house that was built duiring the first years of our country and a battlefield that was the place of a 9 month siege that would lead to the surrender of Richmond and the end of the war was overwhelming.
